About the Dominican Republic
The Dominican Republic is a stunning Caribbean powerhouse of geographic diversity. This island shares between Hispaniola and Haiti, thus making it a cultural playground. The capital of this beautiful island is Santo Domingo which possess Spanish landmarks as well as Gothic Cathedrals.
There are many things to do while on the island. While the Dominican Republic is known mostly for it's golf, adventures and eco-tourism, it is also a great place to enjoy excursions and beautiful beaches. Besides the capitol of the island a lot of people enjoy Santiago, Boca Chica, Constanza and La Vega.
The population of this island is predominantly Roman Catholic in religion, while Spanish is the first language. The population is approximately 10, 610,000, most of the population is mixed, while the rest is black or white.
